Welcome to my tribute to the legendary Common People Band. A 4 to 8 piece Motown Tribute/Cover Band from Athens GA, that I had the privilege to be a part of throughout 2006. Although, I am no longer affiliated with the common people band, nor do I represent them for booking purposes, If you are interested in booking them, I will be happy to forward your contact information to Willy or Charles. Send me an email to john@commonpeopelband.com, and I will be glad to find a band that is suitable. I am a happy former member of the Legendary Common People Motown Party Band from Athens GA. I am John Kirsch, the owner of the domain (and one of many former musicians from the band. For around 6 months, I was their bassist, a background vocalist (with occasional lead), and I played some keyboards, ran some sound, and just helped out all around for the motown band, known as the common people band for several months during 2006) I have resumed playing bass, singing, and managing the Seven 7 variety dance cover band out of Athens GA. I am no longer affiliated with the common people band, but I valued my time working with them as a member. Although, I miss playing motown music with the common people band, I am happy to be doing my own thing with the 80s cover band, the seven 7 band.
